Terms & Conditions
In setting up your charter, there are a number of important considerations:
Restrictions
No pets permitted.
The entire vessel is a 'No Smoking' area.
No drugs, contraband substances or firearms are allowed. Use or possession of illegal drugs, including marijuana, on board the vessel shall result in immediate termination of the charter with forfeiture of all monies paid.
Payment Schedule
The total charter fee includes the base charter fee plus fuel expense. For some of the cruises listed in the Charter Types page, this fee has already been factored into the total charter fee. For other cruises, the fuel expense will be calculated when the actual itinerary is designed.
The fuel expense will be stated as part of the charter fee before you make your decision. This is described in the Charter Rates section.
For overnight or multi-day charters, 20% of the charter fee is payable by check upon signing the contract. An additional 50% is payable by check or credit card 30 days prior to departure. The balance of 30% is due on the departure date payable by credit card or cash only. No checks can be accepted on day of departure. For any trip booked within 30 days of actual departure, the entire fee is due upon signing the contract and may be paid by credit card.
For half-day, full day or sunset cruises, the entire charter fee can be paid the day of departure by credit card or cash.
Cancellation Policy
Situations can develop which impact the ability of the charterer to leave when scheduled. To make it easy to handle these situations, the approach on Great Lady is very flexible.
For any overnight or multi-day trip cancelled or postponed by the charterer more than 30 days prior to the departure date, the initial 20% deposit will be applied towards a rescheduled trip. The remaining regular payment schedule applies. No financial penalty is levied if the trip is rescheduled.
If a trip is cancelled within 30 days of departure, the payments made will be applied towards a future trip.
The Captain has the authority to delay a departure any time during a trip due to weather conditions. In this situation, a pro rata portion of the charter fee will be returned based on the number of days affected. If the start of the trip is delayed by the Captain and the charterer must cancel the entire trip, the full fee may be applied towards another trip or may be refunded.
